Believers Church Medical College Hospital celebrated World Occupational Therapy Day.

Thiruvalla: The Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Believers Church Medical College Hospital (BCMCH) celebrated World Occupational Therapy Day. World Occupational Therapy Day is observed globally every year on October 27, and this year’s theme was “Occupational Therapy for All.”

The event highlighted the importance of occupational therapists in rehabilitation for individuals of all ages. Dr. John Vallyath, Associate Director of Believers Church Medical College Hospital, presided over the ceremony, with Dr. Joseph Sunny, Honorary Secretary of the All India Occupational Therapists Association (AIOTA) and President of the Kerala Occupational Therapy Association (KOTA), as the chief guest. In his address, Dr. Joseph Sunny praised the dedication of occupational therapists in helping individuals who struggle due to various illnesses or accidents regain self-sufficiency in daily life and improve their quality of life.
